Our Little Bits of Heaven !

Let's start with the... HODI GIRLS..
The proud parents are my oldest daughter Tasha, and her husband Gary

So, number one granddaughter is Miss Emily Vera
Emily is nine years old and is our quiet one, unless she's bugging her Papa! Emily is a very thoughtful, generous little girl. She is very artisitc and loves to make things for the people that she's loves. She played field hockey this year and loved it. She is also on the Dance Team at church, made her Papa cry watching her. Emily is a wonderful big sister and is a great example for her sister's to follow. She was named after a very special lady... her great grandmother Gramma "B". Her name was Vera and she was very instrumental in the spiritual life of this family.

Next is Miss Alannah Faith

Alannah is seven years old and is "not" our quiet one! Alannah has a "fireball"! Alannah is amazing... She has an incredible personality and a heart for the weak and hurting. She is an artist, just like Emily, and the last time she was at Nana & Papa's she made a popup book with illustrations and story called "What Lives Under the Sea". It was very impressive and I'm sure that it's the first of many! She also loves to read and is very good at it. Never a dull moment with this one!

Look at these two nutbars!!

Number Three on the hit list is Miss Grace Rebekah

Miss Grace is now five years old and in kindergarten! Grace is our "girly" girl and will be found wearing a skirt with co-ordinating leggings and shirt in all shades of pink and or purple... her favorites, even in the dead of winter. Grace has really come out of her shell since starting school and it has been exciting to see her little personality blossoming. She can be quite shy...until she gets to know you! Grace is also our animal lover and has really bonded to their new puppy, Akiva. Papa calls her his little "Pie face", she has the most amazing eyes and facial expressions.

And.... then there is PINKY!! alias Miss Elizabeth Alisha

Miss Pinky is three and is the end of the Hodi Tree...I think! Our Pinky is quite the girl and being the youngest of four girls, has learned to communicate very effectively!! Thus "the three's"!! She just had her first sleepover at Nana and Papa's and did very well. It was awesome having her on her own without her sister's there. We discovered a little person that has her own ideas and feelings. It was great! She is our snuggler right now, the others think they are too big to snuggle anymore.... very sad! Her first words when she sees me are.... Nana, do you got any gum!! Of course, my purse is loaded!

Well, as you can see, we have the most beautiful granddaughters EVER!! Not only on the outside but they are soooo beautiful on the inside! We are very proud of Tash and Gary, they are raising destiny changers. Each one of them are so different and have incredible gifts and talents. Keep training them up... you guys are doing an awesome job!!

Hmmm...do you think they have their Papa wrapped around their little fingers!!??

The Wild Pacific Trail

Here are a couple of pictures along the Wild Pacific Trail. The sign is pretty close to the beginning of the trail which starts at the Lighthouse in Ucluelet. We can hear the Lighthouse bellowing very well from the suite that we are renting...it can be a very eery sounds as the fog rolls in off the water. The fog is so heavy at times, it's almost like rain! When the wind picks up, you can hear the "whistle can" start up... (for those of us who don't know fishing "lingo"... it's a thing that looks kinda like a really big milk can that's on a buoy.) They situate them along the coast where there are reefs or rocks and when a storm starts up, it starts whistling, so, it's a warning signal.

One night in January, Henry and I were laying in bed talking... He was telling me how much he loves it here and how happy he was. "Listen to that fog horn...don't you love it? I can hear the whistle can starting up. Isn't that sound awesome? " As he adds his snoring to all the wonderful "music" outside, the sealions in the bay decide they are going to have a party and they all start barking! Here I am, trying to sleep with all these "wonderful" new sounds that bless my hubby's soul!! Oh...I'm buying earplugs!

Oh ya...this is life on the Wild Side!!

This is the Wild Side!!

This is a picture of the Wild Pacific Trail that runs through Ucluelet and heads out to Tofino. The trail is amazing, every corner offers an extreme new view of God's creation. It is truly breathtaking and I'm so thankful that the Lord has brought us here! I think that the completed portion of the Wild Pacific Trail is about 9km and will eventually go right to Long Beach in the Pacific Rim National Park. I haven't hiked the whole thing yet, but I have heard that there are bridges, areas where you are walking through the rainforest and then along the coastline.
I LOVE IT !!
